Welcome to the City of Thornton, an Iowa community of 400+ residents just one mile west of I-35 at Exit 180, which puts us about halfway between Minneapolis-St.Paul and Des Moines. |
While we are a small town, our businesses provide a variety of services to both residents and visitors. These include (but are not limited to) restaurants, a gas and convenience store, banking, insurance and real estate, accounting, and an auction house. The City provides a library, a community center, two parks, fire and EMT protection – as well as excellent city maintenance and clerical services.
